Camp Directors

Daniel and Silvia Switzer

As a ministry of Northgate Community Church, Camp Courage is a day camp directed by Daniel and Silvia Switzer. Certified by both the State of Maryland and Montgomery County, the camp is looking forward to its thirtieth exciting year.
​Dr. Switzer, pastor of Northgate Community Church, has taught children for thirty-five years, including twenty-five years as a principal. He has coached soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, football, and track. Silvia is particularly gifted in befriending children. She has taught children from the elementary to the secondary grades in multiple subjects, including Spanish. Both Dan and Silvia feel called to motivate youth to face life with Biblical courage.
